When building Debtic, our primary goal was to create a reliable tool to track debts without invasive tracking or unnecessary data collection. This Privacy Policy outlines exactly how we handle your data, keeping things as transparent and straightforward as possible.

2. The Data We Collect and Why

We've designed Debtic so that it functions perfectly offline. The core of your data—including your debt records, transaction history, and associated contact information—is stored entirely locally on your own device. We do not transmit this data to our servers, nor do we analyze it for marketing purposes.

Google Cloud Sync (Optional): If you choose to enable the cloud backup feature, Debtic will securely sync your encrypted database to your personal Google Drive account. This relies on Google's authentication systems, meaning your data remains strictly between you and your Google account. We never have access to your synced backups or any identifying Google account information.

3. Analytics and Crash Reports

To help us find and fix bugs, Debtic may collect anonymous crash reports and basic usage metrics. This data contains no personally identifiable information (PII) or financial details. It strictly helps us understand technical issues—like which screen caused a crash or what operating system version you are running—so we can build a more stable app.

4. Sharing Your Information

Because your financial data stays on your device (or in your personal Google Drive), we literally have nothing to share. We do not sell, rent, or trade any user information to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.

5. Your Control Over Your Data

You have absolute control over your records. You can delete individual debts or clear the entire app database directly within Debtic's settings at any time. If you use the Google Cloud Sync feature, you can also delete your backups directly from your Google Drive.
